Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the VanLifers Connect mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date.
• VanLifers Connect is an invite-only community. You must have a valid invite code to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm other users in any way.
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive profile information or content.
• Upload content that is offensive, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Use the App to spam, solicit, or send unsolicited messages.
• Share your invite code publicly or sell/trade invite codes.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
• Scrape, collect, or harvest user data from the App.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of content you post (photos, messages, bio text).
• By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post and must ensure it does not violate any third-party rights.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. Builder Listings

If you register as a van builder on the App:

• You agree to provide accurate information about your services, specialties, and rates.
• VanLifers Connect does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality of any builder's work.
• Any transactions or agreements between users and builders are solely between those parties. We are not a party to such agreements.
• A premium subscription may be required to maintain a builder listing.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

• The App offers free and premium subscription tiers. Free users have limited access to certain features.
• Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment terms are governed by the respective store's policies.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device settings or the respective app store.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

8. Location Services

• The App uses location data to connect you with nearby vanlifers and builders.
• You can control your location privacy level (exact, area, city, or hidden) at any time within the App.
• We are not responsible for any consequences arising from your decision to share your location with other users.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any user content or information available through the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VanLifers Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages arising from interactions with other users, builder services, or loss of data.

11. Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
